THE NEW PLATFORM RELEASE
Terre Solidali has developed a platform to strengthen and manage telemedicine in Somalia. It is a complete e-learning environment, thanks to a customized interface for Distance Learning which allows the management of all aspects related to the teaching of the courses.
This allows you to save time, optimize training and concentrate energy on the effectiveness of the courses.
The first release of the e-learning platform took place in 2021, but in the meantime it has evolved in terms of richness, complexity and interactivity.
Terre Solidali experienced Teleconsultation in Somali hospitals together with medical professionals and experts
“Telecohealth is an indication of diagnosis and / or choice of therapy without the physical presence of the patient. This is a remote consulting activity between doctors that allows a doctor to ask for the advice of one or more doctors, based on specific training and expertise, based on medical information related to taking charge of the patient”.

Our Method
A COMMON LANGUAGE
In order to make teleconsulting fast and effective, we need a common language, with precise data, analysis, anamnesis. In practice, a medical record with all the useful elements.
In the current discussion on telemedicine, there is a lot of attention in defining the electronic medical record. There are two main definitions:
PREPARATION
- 1 hospital doctor choose, in collaboration with the Senior, 1 clinical case in progress (or just discharged)
- The doctor prepares a short presentation to illustrate the case to an Italian expert doctor
- The presentation is sent to the Italian doctor
- The live discussion takes place about 3 days later
- During the live show the doctor presents his own clinical case
- The case is discussed. Hypothesis of diagnosis
- The doctor prepare a small report of the clinical case, with the outcome and (any) discharge
TOOLBOX. WHAT WE NEED
Together with the platform, the method and the medical professionals, Terre Solidali provides a tested and verified toolbox with the ten fundamental tools to be able to carry out telemedicine and teleconsultation in the best possible way.
Once the strategies and necessary documents have been learned, dialogue is very simple even between professionals who are very geographically distant and on complex clinical cases.
In this way we are sure of achieving a true, effective, repeatable result.
